February 2010

Over the past number of years, the Thursday night Gala has been developing into a concert which brings to Cork some of the world's best young choral talent in a dynamic performance. This year will be no different, as Belgian youth choir Scala return to the Festival for a reprise of their 2006 concert which took the city by storm. On Thursday 29th April, prepare to be amazed by this group of teenage girls directed by two talented brothers, whose repertoire includes electrifying retellings of modern pop and rock classics including Kylie Minogue, Radiohead and Damien Rice. We've put one of their songs on our website so tune in and have a listen here!
