Brian Bermingham presented the Lord Mayor’s Civic Awards and the Lord Mayor’s Community & Voluntary Awards for 2009. The Cork International Choral Festival is very proud to announce that in the category for Art and Culture, the Festival's Fáilteoirí team was honoured with the Voluntary & Community award. The Lord Mayor was high in his praise for all the Award recipients: “Tonight’s Awards recognize the contribution which sporting, voluntary and entrepreneurial icons make to this city and offer them a heartfelt thanks on behalf of their own – the people of Cork.
