Credo Vocal Ensemble

Credo Vocal Ensemble is an a cappella group based in Trim Co Meath. The Ensemble was formed in2012 under the leadership of conductor, Aideen O’Sullivan. Since then, Credo has had the privilege of having such successful conductors as Tracy Nagle, Jane Lynch and Vincent Lynch. In 2016 Credo Vocal Ensemble enjoyed a very successful year, participating in two prestigious festivals, the Sligo Choral Festival and the Navan Choral Festival. In 2017, Credo Vocal Ensemble won the ’large ensemble’ first prize in the Irish International A Cappella competition in Dublin under the baton of Tracy Nagle. In the same year, they performed at the famous ’Night of Choirs’ in Budapest. In 2018, the Ensemble were runners-up in the Lyric FM Choirs for Christmas national competition. Since 2022 Judit Máté holds the position of Musical Director of the Ensemble. Judit is an Hungarian-born organist and conductor. She completed her Masters in Organ Performance at TU Conservato Ireand she gave recitals in Ireland, Hungary and France. Judit grew up studying music through the famous Kodály method and she was trained as a choral conductor and church musician in Hungary. Credo Vocal Ensemble has a varied repertoire, ranging from sacred to secular, baroque to contemporary as well as a cappella arrangements of popular music.
