Dr Eva McMullan-Glossop is a lecturer in the Department of Music at UCC, has been the director of the University College Choir since 2012, and founded the Crosshaven Community Choir in 2016. She has collaborated with internationally renowned artists such as Brian Kennedy, Paddy Casey, John Spillane, Cónal Creedon, The Frank and Walters, Karen Underwood and Iarla Ó’ Lionaird.

For over a decade, Dr McMullan-Glossop has combined her passion for choral music with her aim of increasing the accessibility of choral music to people of all abilities. To ensure best practice, she has worked closely with Down Syndrome Cork, Down Syndrome Ireland, ChildVision, and the id+ Project at UCC.

Dr McMullan-Glossop is also currently completing a Masters in Anatomy in Neuroscience that has helped inform her practice. Grounded in a neural education model, this interactive workshop will provide conductors and choristers with practical skills and toolkits to create a rich music environment in their choral rehearsal that encourages children and adults of all abilities to be active participants. This brain centric approach will demonstrate accessible and creative ways to rewire traditional approaches to choral teaching, making the choral rehearsal an enjoyable and accessible space for everyone.
