Cór Lae Nua

Cork

Cór Lae Nua is a female voice chamber choir based in Cork City under the direction of Dr Nicholas McMurry. The choir was founded in 2016 when a group of friends came together to experience the challenges and pleasures of singing in a small choir. Since then, the choir has gone from strength to strength, achieving success in Feis Maitiú, Limerick Choral Festival, Sligo Choral Festival, AIMS Choral Festival and Cork International Choral Festival. The choir has also given concerts in Marymount Hospice, the Aula Maxima UCC, MaryboroughNursing Home, the Quaker Meeting House, the Freemasons’ Hall and Civic Trust House in Cork. A regular and very special event for the choir has been singing at the annual Memorial Service for Infant and Pregnancy Loss in Cork City. Cór Lae Nua is delighted to be back performing once more at the Cork International Choral Festival.
