Andrew Lane

Cork

Andrew is a performer from Cork and has just graduated with a First Class Honours, Bachelor of Music (Hons) (BMUS) at MTU Cork School of Music specialising in voice. He is currently studying for his Masters at MTU Cork School of Music specialising in Musical Theatre Performance and Musical Direction. 

Recent performance credits include:  ‘Buttons’ in Cinderella (The Everyman Theatre, Dir. Catherine Mahon-Buckley, Oct 2022) ‘Telly’ in Godspell (MTU Cork Musical Society, Dir. Ronan O’Shea, Feb 2020), ‘Munkustrap’ in Cats (Presentation Secondary School, Dir. Catherine Mahon-Buckley, Oct 2017) ‘Johnny’ in Many Young Men of Twenty (The Everyman Palace Theatre, Dir. Catherine Mahon-Buckley, Apr 2017) and ‘Marius’ in Les Miserables (CADA, Dir. Catherine Mahon-Buckley, Aug 2016)  

Andrew has completed his ATCL in Musical Theatre with distinction from Trinity College London under supervision of Catherine Mahon-Buckley, Pavla Scheufler-Moore and Jessica O’Shea.  

In the last few years, Andrew has developed a passion for musical directing. He is currently resident conductor for The Barony Choir in Middleton and teaches in Sonatina Music Academy in Glanmire. 

Some musical direction credits include Hunchback of Notre Dame (MTU Cork Musical Society, Musical Theatre Intervarsities, March 2021) and Dear Evan Hansen (MTU Cork Musical Society, Musical Theatre Intervarsities, Feb 2021) 

Andrew has also performed in a devised theatre piece of the classic tale of Cinderella on the West End, in Her Majesties Theatre as the Prince. (Dir. Paul Wilkins, 2016)
