Cahir to Sing

Tipperary

Cahir to Sing is a ladies' choir from Cahir, Co. Tipperary. The choir was formed in January 2016 by a small group of ladies with a common interest in singing. While based in a small town of Cahir, the choir members are drawn from around the globe and this eclectic mix is reflected in the repertoire which ranges from traditional Irish airs to modern standards to songs from French movies. Today the choir is a 30 ladies strong group with different nationalities of German, Swiss, English, American, Finnish and Irish. To date, the choir has performed in St. Mary's Church in Cahir, St Paul’s Church in Cahir, Mount Melleray, Bru Boru in Cashel, at Cahir Historical Society functions, at the Comhaltas Ceoltóiri Éireann 1916 Commemoration, Cork Choral Festival, St Patrick’s Festival in Armagh and our Christmas fundraiser concerts, and Culture Night events are held locally every year. As well as a forum for fun and laughter, we aim to build a strong community through singing and through connecting artistically with each other.
