Castlemartyr Choir

Castlemartyr choir (founded in 1986) is an independent community based choir that performs music from the established choral repertoire of the last 500 years. The choir is well known throughout Ireland for its competitive performances at choral festivals both in Ireland and occasionally overseas. The choir gives many concert performances in the greater Cork area, often in collaboration with other choirs and also promotes it’s own concerts in the East Cork region. The choir also sings at local Castlemartyr events. The annual Carols by Candlelight attracts full houses every Christmas. The choir continues to work under its founding conductor, Tomás Ó Tuama.
