City Hall Singers

After a 15-year break, November 2023 saw the rebirth of City Hall Singers. Three former members resurrected the choir to re-connect staff and retirees, following the disconnect created by Covid 19. There was instant uptake and positivity amongst City Council employees and retirees to restart the choir. Now they continue to meet in the Hall for their weekly rehearsal.
City Hall Singers is an SATB choir with 27 members. They are an integral part of staff engagement throughout the organisation and participate in the many varied events during the council year such as work launches, library sing-outs; City of Welcomes for visiting refugees, charity coffee mornings, Culture Night, Civic Receptions & The Lord Mayor’s Gala Concert and they also featured in Lyric Fm carols for Christmas 2025. This is their third consecutive year to compete in the IBEC Workplace Choir of the Year Competition. They were delighted to achieve 2nd place in both 2024 & 2025.
