Dublin Youth Chamber Choir

Dublin Youth Choir was founded in January 2017 with the launch of its Chamber Choir, comprising 24 talented young singers selected to perform ambitious repertoire and develop their musicianship under the guidance of founding Artistic Director, Dr Lynsey Callaghan.

In August 2019, the Dublin Youth Chamber Choir was named Champion of the European Choir Games in the Youth Choir category. Since then, the ensemble has received numerous accolades, including being awarded Ireland’s Choir of the Year at the Cork International Choral Festival twice.

The Chamber Choir represents the pinnacle of the Dublin Youth Choir organisation, an incremental programme of choral education that engages over 250 young people each week, nurturing their musical and artistic growth.

Dr Lynsey Callaghan, Founder and Artistic Director of Dublin Youth Choir, also serves as Principal Conductor of the National Youth Choir of the United Kingdom and Head of Programmes, Research, and Academics at the Royal Irish Academy of Music.
