Dunmanway Community Choir

Dunmanway Community Choir was created in 2015 and is led by Jane Goss, an energetic, talented and enthusiastic choir director. Jane has performed as a singer and musician for many years in various bands (currently Mango Moon) and completed an MA in Community Music from UL during lockdown. Jane arranges and teaches a huge variety of songs (folk, soul, pop, traditional, gospel, Irish…) in an a cappella style with generally four-part harmonies using a method that needs no requirement to read music – just listen and repeat. The choir is open to everyone and enjoys a relaxed and informal atmosphere. Over the last 10 years the choir has performed regularly in events around West Cork such as Candlelight Concerts & Culture Night in Dunmanway, the West Cork Feel Good Festival in Bantry, the Leap Halloween Festival or the Summer Festival in Rosscarbery. In May 2025 the choir organised and performed at their 10-year anniversary concert in Dunmanway’s Parkway Hotel which was a great success.
