The choir began at the initiative of Débora Herrero. Currently, the group is made up of 25 members.
Despite the group’s short history, they have performed numerous concerts and shows: Toys Maker (Josu Elberdin) and Hit Parade, both of which have been musical hits. In 2025, Emotio Taldea performed Kim André Arnesen’s Magnificat accompanied by the Oiasso Kamerata String Orchestra in the towns of Hondarribia and Ordizia, achieving great acclaim among audiences and critics (Javier Busto). Of particular note are the concerts given in Madrid, Prague, St Peter’s Basilica in Rome, in Porto, and Granada.
The group’s goals are to actively contribute to choral life and foster a love of singing; to promote their own folklore and that of other countries; to work on music from different eras, origins, and styles. They also aim to promote local composers and folklore abroad. In this sense, the group’s greatest challenge is reaching the hearts of its listeners.
