Fionula Linehan

Fionula is a much in demand versatile performer with a penchant for comedy. Some favourite roles include ‘Factory Girls(‘Ellen) which its esteemed writer Frank McGuinness attended and described her as ‘Perfect’ in the role. ‘A Skull in Connemara’ (MaryJohnny), ‘Lovers’ (Hannah), ‘Philadelphia here I come'(Auntie Lizzie) ‘Relatively Speaking'(Sheila), ‘Sexy Laundry (Alice), ‘Sisters Martha), and in the world premiere of Ger Fitzgibbons’s one woman play ‘The Hairdresser’s Calendar’ which he wrote for her to play the part.  

Fionula has voiced many radio plays and Adverts and starred as Mrs Tilly Tolly in the ‘Tilly Tolly’ series for RTE jr.

Film and TV credits include ‘The Young Offenders’ Film and series 1 and 4,’Along the Hemline’, ‘Banshee’, “Home Truths’.

Fionula is a regular in Panto at the Everyman and has been privileged to play ‘Peggy Twomey’(Ireland’s only female dame) for the last 3 years.

She is a drama teacher with CADA Performing Arts and loves working with the stars of tomorrow honing their creativity and talent.

Before falling in love with theatre she studied martial arts for many years and holds two black belts in Shotokan Karate.
