Foster and the People

‘Foster and the People’ is a group of Gas Network Ireland colleagues who meet on a regular basis at lunch times to sing together. The choir has been in existence since 2019 and has performed at many Gas Networks Ireland events over the years, as well as producing a series of virtual performances during COVID-19 epidemic.
The group performed an impromptu performance of the Snow Patrol song “Run” in Cork Kent Train Station.
The performance received a rapturous reception from surprised travellers passing through Cork Kent Station and a video of the song managed to reach the Cork Beo social media page on Facebook with >200K views.
Foster and the People’ recorded a version of Snow Patrol’s ‘Run’ to raise funds and awareness for two Cork based charities Headway: Brain Injury Services & Support and My Canine Companion: Autism & Therapy Services. A collaboration with the charities and support from colleagues 120 voices participating €16K was raised.
