The KALYNA Choir is Cork’s first Ukrainian community choir, founded in October 2022 by Victoria Tymoshchuk to support Ukrainians in Ireland through music and cultural connection. Based in Ballincollig, the amateur group performs traditional Ukrainian and English songs, promoting integration and representing their culture at events like the Lord Mayor’s awards. The choir was named overall winners at the 2024 Lord Mayor’s Civic, Culture and Community and Voluntary Awards in Cork. The choir conductor is Tetiana Tymoshenko.
