UCC singers are the competitive choir of the UCC Choral Society and consists of thirty-three members ranging from 1st-year undergraduates all the way up to masters and postgraduate students. The Choir was formed in 2014 and has competed in many national competitions including the Cork, Sligo and Derry Choral Festivals. The choir partakes in various performances and competitions across the year most notably, the annual tradition of performing the Carols By Candlelight which we are proud to perform on our university campus in the Honan Chapel. The choir is under the direction of conductor Robbie Pender. Robbie is a Cork School of Music graduate who has gone on to conduct, teach and accompany across Ireland and beyond, acting as the head of Music Summer Programs at an International School in Santiago, Spain. The choir are delighted to be competing today in their home city of Cork.
