Scoil an Spioraid Naoimh Cailíní Choir is directed by Maeve Ann O’Brien and consists of girls from 4th to 6th class . There is a long history of choral singing in Bishopstown Girls School . The choir performs a wide variety of repertoire and has achieved great success in the past 15 years winning the Primary Schools section of the Cork International Chiral Festival on many occasions ,most recently in 2025 . They had victories also in Feus Maitiú and at the Aims Choral Festival in Wexford. The choir sang in the Cork Opera House Christmas concert in 2015 and were specially chosen in 2017 to be the children’s Chorus in Cork Opera House’s production of Carmen and also in La Bohemia in 2018 . The choir made their television debut in December 2017 when they performed on the Daithí and Maura Show. In February 2024 the choir performed in Cork Opera House as part of the Three Tenors Concert. November 2024 in the Musical Miscellany at the Freemason’s Hall and in St Finbarrs Cathedral as part of the Christmas Winter Gala. September 2025 performed in St Mary’s Carrigaline as part of a charity concert for Gaza and in November in Ballincollig Christ of Out light Church as part of the Choral Festival Christmas Concert. In March 2026 they were in Cobh Cathedral giving a joint concert performed with University Choir of Iowa.
