Fringe Concert
Sat, 2nd May 2026
1:10 pm

Situated near the heart of Cork, St. Fin Barre’s Cathedral is the most recent ecclesiastical site located where the saint is believed to have founded his monastic school in the 7th century. The building contains more than 1,260 sculptures, a 24-lb cannonball, a legacy of the Siege of Cork in 1690 and an organ that was built in 1870 by William Hill & Sons. The latter consisted of three manuals, over 4,500 pipes and 40 stops when it was build, but was continously extended over the years.
